India has given birth to some of the world’s best tennis players, who have made names for themselves in national as well as global tournaments. From the pioneering legends to the current icons, these players have contributed enormously to the growth of tennis in India. Following are six of the most renowned Indian tennis players of 2025.
Ramanathan Krishnan
An Indian tennis great, Ramanathan Krishnan dominated Indian tennis in the 1950s and 1960s. Krishnan was the first Indian to make it to the Wimbledon semi-finals in 1960 and 1961. Vijay Amritraj
