Aslam Inamdar Family: A Story of Struggle, Strength, and Success

From a small village in Maharashtra, the story of Aslam Inamdar comes down to hard work and achievements in the Pro Kabaddi League. His story goes on to inscribe the name of Takliban village from Ahmednagar into his avenue of fame in Indian Kabaddi, which gave not only Aslam but served as an inspiration for scores of budding sportspersons across India.

He was born on 23rd February 2000 in a family that had to face some tough times financially. In 2011, the sudden demise of his father, Baburao Inamdar, placed the family in a precarious situation. Thereafter, his mother, Laxmibai Inamdar, took the arduous task of running the household as a domestic help. Even at a tender age, Aslam took on the added responsibility of working in a nearby tea stall. His mother’s immense strength and the sacrifices she did for him continue to be his guiding force in life, and he dedicates all of his accomplishments on and off the mat to her.

The Inamdar family also includes Aslam’s younger brother, Ahmed Mustafa Inamdar, who is following in his brother’s footsteps as a Kabaddi player. Mustafa made headlines after being picked by Puneri Paltan in the PKL 2023 auction for ₹9 lakh. Known for his strong defensive skills, he played a standout role as a right cover defender for Thane District Hampi Heroes in the KMP YKS tournament, where he earned 47 tackle points.

Himself Aslam has emerged as a stalemate for Puneri Paltan and the Indian national Kabaddi team. He made his professional debut in the 2022 PKL season and then went on to don the national colors for the Indian team at the 2022 Asian Games, where the Indian team bagged the gold. His Kabaddi journey, which began at sub-junior nationals, has also included playing for teams like Jai Bajrang, Union Bank, and Air India.

Despite his growing popularity, Aslam keeps his personal life private. There have been no public disclosures about any romantic relationship, suggesting that he is currently single and focused entirely on his professional career and family.
