Mastram Part 2 went out on 15 December to the ULLU streaming platform. After the success of the first season, which we poured our love into, this second chapter had fans on the edge of their seats, which we were happy to report is now available only via ULLU for digital viewers.
Plot Overview
Raj, which is what our author is at first, to put food on the table, pens as Mastram, to great success. In part 2, we see Raj’s dual life grow more complex as he maintains his upstanding public image and his secret life as a writer of explicit stories. As his books do well, he does not do so great. he is torn between what is right and what sells, and also has issues in his personal life which he must navigate all the while he tries to keep his double life a secret.
Lead Cast & Characters
Anshuman Jha is the star of the show as Rajaram and Mastram, which he plays out very well. The character is that of a man caught between ambition and personal values.

Tara Alisha Berry is the actress who plays the role of Madhu, Rajaram’s wife, which also happens to be a character who is very much into her husband, which at times plays out as tension in the story.
Supporting Cast
Familiar characters from the past are to appear again, including those who brought drama and humour to Rajaram’s chaotic world. Also, we see that there is a return of the supporting male characters, which add depth and richness to the story and which also support the lead roles.

Direction & Production
Directed into a very emotional and realistic direction, Mastram Part 2, we see the expansion of the story, which was introduced in the past season. Also, the creative team does a great job at bringing out Rajaram’s psychological issues; they do an excellent job at presenting the series’ large themes in a very mature and thought-out way.
Episodes & Runtime
The series, which is made up of many short episodes of between 30 to 40 minutes each for you to get hooked into and watch in one sitting.
Themes & Tone
Erotic Drama: The show has gone on to present complex adult themes in a very skilful way.
Relationship Strain: As Rajaram’s fame soars, in his home life, things hit rock bottom.
Creative Dilemma: The writer, as he gains success, begins to question his values and integrity.
Cinematic Style
The series has a very intimate visual style, which includes atmospheric lighting, detailed period sets, and costumes that bring to life Rajaram’s 1980s world. We see a mix of sensuality and emotion in the telling of each scene, which in turn gives the series its unique look.
Audience Response
Fans who followed the original series have embraced this revival, which also has better character development and more in-depth stories. Also, many are tuned in to see what is in store for Rajaram’s character in the coming episodes.
