Deepanshu Bhandari is a distinguished Indian media professional renowned for his extensive experience in financial journalism and news anchoring. Born and raised in Mumbai, a pulsing cultural city in Maharashtra, he has carved out a special niche for himself as someone who is very much at home cloistered above the news desk, reporting business news.
Early Life and Education
Bhandari’s academic journey began when he attended high school at The Doon School, located in Uttarakhand. He also pursued higher education by studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai from 2006 to 2009. This solid foundation of education really prepared the way for his big future journalistic adventures.
Professional Career

Embarking on his career at the end of 2006, Bhandari worked first as a feature writer for Education Times based in Mumbai. He did this job from December up until January of 2008. In August of 2009, he moved to the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Young Leader Forum in Mumbai and held a senior officer job until January of 2010.
November 2010 marked a significant milestone in his career when he joined ET Now in Mumbai as a senior assistant producer, a role he fulfilled until December 2014. During his tenure at ET Now, Bhandari showcased his versatility by hosting shows such as “World of Mid Caps” and “Lunch Money,” which focused on financial markets and economic trends.
In January 2015, he went to BTVI in Mumbai, first as a presenter and then as a Senior Producer. At BTVI, Bhandari anchored prominent shows like “The Dealing Room,” “Call BTVI,” and “The Trading Day,” further cementing his reputation in financial journalism.
September 2019 ushered in a new chapter as Bhandari joined Zee Business in Mumbai, taking on the dual roles of Anchor and Head Researcher. His time with Zee Business was marked by smart analysis of markets and comprehensive financial coverage—he always managed to earn both kudos from the people who watched and recognition from his peers in the industry, too.
After 15 years of stepping off the beat, reporting on the financial markets, and spending years in front of cameras doing news anchoring, Bhandari decided to take on a new challenge, one that would surely push and excite her. In a recent professional leap, he joined a nice investment shop called o3 Capital as Head of Branding and Strategy, using his media background to really put that firm on the map and make them noticeable.

Reaching a height of about 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm), Bhandari is imposing in stature. Coming from a family in Mumbai with close-knit bonds, Bhandari has his sister, Deepika Bhandari, working as a psychotherapist.
