Dr Tanu Jain is an IAS officer from New Delhi. It is a known fact that she secured a position in the top 5 in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2014. Initially, she was a medical professional, and in 2012, she completed her MBBS before she decided to change her field of interest to civil services. Her journey was not an easy one because she attempted the UPSSC at first and did not pass, but her hard work kept her going until she floored it on her third attempt.

Dr Jain was born on July 17, 1986, in Sadar Bazaar, Delhi, and married to fellow public servant Vaatsalya Kumar; they also have one child together. Her father, Akash Jain, and mother, Arpita Jain, are the most valued people in her life personally. This became a cause for her downfalls in her life, yet it is this very determination that can place her as one of the top civil servants in India.

After accomplishing UPSC, Dr. Jain became an IAS officer and then transferred to the Assistant Director at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). She has been a key player in bringing the most important government policies into action as well as her contributions to the Indian bureaucracy.

On the personal side of things, Dr Jain enjoys carrying on with a fitness regimen, practising yoga and meditation. She has a height of 5 ft. 2 inches and weighs around 56 kg. She was educated at Cambridge School, Delhi, and later studied medicine at Subharti Medical College, Meerut.

Dr Jain is a travel enthusiast who loves reading and has a huge social media following of over 131,000 on Instagram. She is estimated to have a net worth of almost 2 million dollars.

From a shining background in medicine into the hallowed corridors of the Indian Administrative Service, she has shown very convincingly how one can overcome hurdles and achieve in life through sheer hard work, conviction, and an optimistic mindset. Dr. Jain continues to serve as an idol for many an aspiring civil servant and people wanting to make a difference in society. Her life journey is the epitome of the spirit of resilience and dedication to public service which is the hallmark of civil services.
