She did a Master’s in Computer Science and started working as a software engineer with NRI FT India and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Prior to her marriage to Anupam Roy, Prashmita was previously married to Dr. Shaunak Biswas, a doctor. She was in marriage with him in January 2018, but it lasted for a short period due to personal differences.
