
Lahoma Bhattacharya (Bengali: লহমা ভট্টাচার্য) was born April 22, 2002, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Growing up in a culturally vibrant city she acquired an early passion for acting and theater performance. She attended Modern High School for Girls in Kolkata before continuing her studies at SOAS University of London, where she earned a degree in arts.
Career in the Bengali Film Industry
Lahoma made her acting debut in the 2022 Bengali action-thriller film “Raavan,” playing the lead role of ‘Rai’ alongside superstar Jeet. Directed by MN Raj, the film was released under the banners of CAG Studios and Jeetz Filmworks. Her performance in the film was well received marking a successful entry into the Bengali entertainment industry.
Following the success of “Raavan,” she appeared in “Bibaho Bibhrat,” a romantic comedy musical directed by Raja Chanda. In this film, she starred opposite popular actors Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chattopadhyay. The film displayed her range and charm, cementing her reputation as a rising performer in Bengali cinema.

She is the daughter of Goutam Bhattacharya, a renowned sports journalist and commentator, and Raya Bhattacharya, a popular television anchor.
