Zaheer Khan was born in Shrirampur, Maharashtra, on October 7, 1978. Hailing from a middle-class family, Zaheer was passionate about cricket from an early age. He did his schooling at Nirman High School in Ahmedabad and then joined K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering in Mumbai for an engineering degree. However, he soon dedicated himself to full-time professional cricket.
