Weapons in BGMI come in a plethora of varieties and are categorized into numerous classes, with each set of weapons made for different combat situations. Thus, to achieve mastery in gaming, there should be enough knowledge about the weapons, their strengths and weaknesses, and scenarios in which to best apply them.
Types of Weapons in BGMI

When it comes to weaponry, BGMI produces a whole arsenal that is divided into Assault Rifles (ARs), Submachine Guns (SMGs), Designated Marksman Rifles (DMRs), Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, LMGs, Pistols, Melee, Crossbows, and Throwables.
Assault Rifles (ARs)

While Assault Rifles are highly versatile, those with 7.62 caliber like AKM and Groza are generally better off at the short-range fighting since these guns do higher damage; however, 5.56mm rifles like the M416 and Scar-L are more balanced for mid-to-long-range engagements.
Most familiar types are:
AKM – High damage, slow rate of firing
M416 – Highly versatile, faster firing rate
Groza – Powerhouse and rare (air drops only)
Submachine Guns (SMGs)

SMGs are the weapons of choice during short-range skirmishes due to their fast rates of firing. The 9mm SMGs, such as the UZI and MP5K, are a little faster but do less damage, and .45 ACP guns like the UMP45 offer better control and are moderate in damage.
Thompson SMG – Balanced power and rate
UMP45 – Reliable close and mid-range
P90 – High damage and big mag
Sniper Rifles

Being a long-range weapon, sniper rifles inflict fatalities with a one-shot kill. The AWM, available only through airdrops, causes the most damage, whereas the Kar98K and M24 deal the right amount of damage if fully trained.
AWM – Highest base damage
M24 – Strong and easier to find
AMR – Exceptional power and armor penetration
Designated Marksman Rifles (DMRs)

DMRs blend the precision of snipers with semi-automatic firing. These are ideal for medium to long-range. The Mk14 stands out for its dual-mode capability.
Mk14 – DMR with auto mode
Mini14 – Fast and accurate
SKS – High damage, slower rate
Shotguns & LMGs

Shotguns like DBS and S12K dominate close-quarters combat. LMGs such as M249 and MG3 offer high damage and large magazines but are harder to control due to recoil.
Pistols, Melee & Crossbows

Pistols serve as backup weapons; some like P18C and Skorpion offer automatic fire. Melee options like the Pan can be used for both attack and defense. Crossbows, especially the Tactical Crossbow, can deliver stealth kills and incendiary bolts.
Throwables

There are four main throwables: Frag Grenades (for finishing), Molotovs (to flush enemies), Smoke Grenades (for cover), and Stun Grenades (for disorienting enemies).
