In 2025, football fans had a treat, which is unusual; we saw our best strikers in incredible form. These goal poachers did it for their teams and countries with consistency, skill and class. Also, we looked at the top 10 strikers who dominated the pitch this year.

  1. Erling Braut Haaland (Manchester City, Norway).

Haaland is a goal-scoring sensation at the moment. This season, he is tearing it up, which is a result of his strength, pace and incredible positional sense. Also, it is his finishing that sets him apart, which puts him at the top of the forward pack in the world.

  1. Harry Kean (Bayern Munich, England).

Kane is doing very well in Germany. At Bayern, he is putting up great numbers in terms of goals scored, and also creates good opportunities for his teammates. His playmaking, which is paired with his goal poaching, has made him stand out as a total package forward at present.

  1. Kylian Mbappé (Madrid, France).

Mbappé’s transfer to Real Madrid was a big deal, which we thought would play out a certain way, and it did. Out of the gate, he had some off days, but soon turned things around to put up great numbers and perform in big matches. Also, his speed, ball handling skills and that smartness on the field are world-class.

  1. Alexander Isak (of Newcastle United from Sweden).

Isak has put on display a graceful touch, which in turn has seen him stand out in the Premier League with his cool finishing and speed, which he brings to the game. With each match he plays, it is made clear that he is destined to become a future legend.

  1. Lautaro Martínez (of Inter Milan from Argentina).

Lautaro is the engine that drives Inter’s attack. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in energy and smart movement, which has secured his place among the best. In close quarters, he does very well and also steps up in the bigger games.

  1. Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona, Poland).

Even at 36 years into his career, Lewandowski still is a different animal in terms of age with his sharp movements and goal-scoring skill. His football IQ and clinical finish make him an asset for Barca’s forward line.

  1. Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting CP, Swedish).

Gyökeres had a brilliant season, which saw him lead his team with an amazing goal tally. He dominated physically and in front of the goal, which has put him on the radar of European top-flight clubs.

  1. Victor Osimhen ( Galatasaray from Nigeria).

Osimhen is in a reborn state at his present club, which he is putting to good use, scoring powerful and consistent goals. Also, what he brings to the table in terms of aerial attack and that aggressive style of play is a tough ask for defenders.

  1. Julian Alvarez (Atlético Madrid, Argentina).

Álvarez has done very well in a new setting, he has put in great work rates, is very tactical and can score from anywhere.

  1. Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur, South Korea).

As the main man in attack, Son has been the standout player. What we have seen from him is great leadership, which goes hand in hand with smart movement and that clinical touch in front of the goal, which has fired up Tottenham’s offence this season.
