So, Wren Clair? Total Minnesota native, grew up in Hopkins, which is Minneapolis if you squint. She’s got this wild academic background—seriously, she collected degrees like Pokémon cards: meteorology down in Mississippi State, plus chemistry and anthropology back home at the U of M. Then she goes and bags a master’s from Johns Hopkins (fancy!) in environmental science, climate/energy stuff. She’s the overachiever in your friend group who followed through.
Her birthday is July 22. The year? Yeah, good luck—nobody’s spilt, but if you do the math, she’s probably 33-ish in 2025. She’s about 5’7”, and always looks like she’s ready to teach a masterclass in “how to look sharp on TV.”
Career-wise, she started in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. If you know, you know: we’re talking snow up to your eyeballs and maybe a moose or two. Then she made her way to Boston, covering those gnarly Nor’easters—including that blizzard in Feb 2017 and the “bomb cyclone” mess in 2018. If the weather was trying to kill you, she was there, probably smiling through it.
She landed at KSTP in Minnesota in 2018. After the legend Dave Dahl retired (big shoes to fill!), she became the go-to weather person. Seven years later, in early 2025, she dipped out—and, boom, turned up at KARE 11 in May. Fans lost it. Seriously, local Reddit blew up.

Money? At KSTP, she was making around $80K a year, give or take. KARE 11 probably matched that or better; she’s kind of a big deal in Twin Cities TV. Net worth? Anywhere between $1 and $5 million, depending on who you ask—TV salary, a few speaking gigs, maybe some side hustles? Hard to say.
Personal life’s locked down. She married Adam (they got engaged in 2017, tied the knot in 2018), and they have a cat named Charlie who’s probably living the good life. No word on kids, and she keeps it that way—respect.
Outside the studio, Wren’s all about science education. She volunteers, helps GED students, and tries to get more folks into meteorology—she’s that person who shows up at community events. Plus, she’s in the American Meteorological Society and does some teaching at local schools. (Overachiever, told you.)
