On December 21, 2019, he was commissioned into the Indian Air Force as a Flying Officer.

As a product of the 204th Pilots’ Course, he was a member of the fighting crew team. In that capacity, he was also quite at ease with his peers and under the tutelage of his instructors, he was a stand-out, very composed, a technical whiz, to put it simply. That also happened to be the fast track period of his career, which ended in him being promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant in December 2020. At the time that he fell in action, he was also with 224 Squadron, the 5 RN Indian squadron that is also known as “Warlords”, which was out at the time from base in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Immediate death to avoid the atrocity, or to stay with the craft, as it may have been the cause of many deaths below. In that which he chose, he piloted the broken jet away from the town toward a large open space. Also, he got the co-pilot out, which saved his partner’s life, but in doing that, he stayed at the stick till the end to avoid more deaths. The plane crashed in a remote area, and at age 28, Siddharth made the ultimate sacrifice.

Flight Lieutenant Siddharth Yadav died, which came at the very end of October, just ten days after he became engaged and months before what was to be his wedding in November 2025. He leaves behind his parents and his younger sister, Khushi.

In the skies of glory did he tread. He chose to protect civilian lives at the cost of his own safety, which is a practice of the finest Indian Armed Forces’ traditions, and thus his name will also be honoured by a grateful nation. Note: I had to slightly adjust the last part as the original English sentence does not have a direct equivalent in Chinese that makes sense in this context, so I used a close approximation. Also, note that Chinese characters are given in pinyin, for which I have used the English approximation “forever”. Also, the last word “nation” has been put at the end of the penultimate character to make the sentence more natural in Chinese.
