Lauren Bell was just 22, and at a time after difficult endeavors in sports, was still crafting herself into the pacer of England. At a tender age, Bell showed promise in various fields other than cricket. Her father is the principal facilitator supporting her talent through all such endeavors, as a sportswoman.

On January 2, 2001, in Swindon, England, Bell began by playing for Hungerford Cricket Club and later became the first girl who played for Bradfield College. In football and athletics, she excelled besides cricket. Since the age of 16, she played for Reading Football club. This is a clear demonstration of her multi-sporting capabilities.

With her father, Andy Bell, playing an important role in her journey to crickets, it is fitting for him to be remembered here. At one point, just when she was sixteen, she found herself with the option of either cricket or football for them as her dad could support but only one sport. Lauren chose cricket and began training at the Vipers Cricket Academy—a decision that proved to be a wise one.

Her mother, Morag Bell, is a teacher by profession, while her sister, Colette Bell, also plays cricket and represents the Berkshire Women’s Cricket Team.

Lauren has been recognized for her efforts in inspiring young cricketers and was honored with a cap by the charitable organization ‘Chance to Shine.’ Recently, she joined the first-ever Women’s Premier League (WPL) after being acquired by UP Warriorz for INR 30 lakh. This milestone highlights her growing influence in women’s cricket.
