Direction and Screenplay

Director Surya Vantipalli raises sensitive social issues sensitively, expecting to elicit the woes of women. While the message elicited in the film is strong, the screenplay is poor at some places with predictability of scenes at certain instances.

Technical Aspects

  • Music: By Vinod Kumar Vinnu, the music too is according to the theme of the film, with numbers such as “Eedu Magadentra Bujji” being very good.
  • Cinematography: Does justice to the story and enhances the narration.
  • Editing: Good pace, though tighter editing would have added even more to the overall impact of the film.

Critical Reception

Naari received mixed critical reviews. While the film’s message and the performance, especially by Aamani, have met with approval, criticism has come in for there not being a more engaging script. The 2.25 to 2.75/5 ratings that range from week to week display the positives and negatives of the film.

Conclusion

Naari: The Women is an emotionally charged movie that presents serious problems in society, and in offering a thought-provoking tale to experience. Though its flaws in terms of story, the message behind the movie and decent performances make it worth a view for socially aware cinema lovers who would appreciate a movie like this.
