Pelli Kani Prasad, a Telugu romantic comedy movie directed by Satyam Dwarapudi, released in 2008. The movie, which tried to provide humor and entertainment, fails because of its stale plot, bad performances, and uninspired direction.
Plot Summary

The movie is about Saroj (Sridevi Vijaykumar), who is romantically interested in Prasad (Allari Naresh). Her dad, however, does not approve of marrying out of love and looks for something more conventional in her case, arranging to have her married off to another chap, also Prasad (Sivaji). This coincidence in names creates a chain of misunderstandings and comic situations. The movie tries to delve into the subtleties that arise because of this mix-up but is not able to keep it coherent and interesting throughout.
Performances
Comedy actors Sivaji and Allari Naresh star in this film. Unfortunately, their performances are marred by a poor script and poor character development. Sridevi Vijaykumar does her best but the character is poor. Supporting actor Chitram Srinu and Raghuvaran also do not make a strong impression due to poor content in the movie.
Direction and Screenplay
Director Satyam Dwarapudi’s effort to make a comedy story fall flat because of a clichéd plot and uninspired direction. The script is not original, and the wit seems to be contrived and dry. The pace of the film is also uneven, the first half being a drag and the second half having no major turns and developments.
