Sandeep Sharma was born in Patiala, Punjab, on 18 May 1993. His cricketing lessons started in school under the able guidance of Kamaljeet Singh. He further fine-tuned his skills under the national fielding coach, Munish Bali. His talents entered the limelight at the 2012 ICC U-19 World Cup, where he took 12 wickets, including 4 very crucial in the finals, leading India to the title.
