Sonampreet Bajwa, known popularly as Sonam Bajwa, is an Indian actress and model based in Chandigarh, with appearances in Punjabi cinema as her forte. She was born on August 16, 1989, in Nainital, Uttarakhand, into a Punjabi Sikh family. Her parents were both academics; her mother is Ritu Bajwa. Sonam has a twin brother named Jaydeep Bajwa.
She graduated from Delhi University and started off with a career in aviation, wherein she worked as an air hostess before she could think of entering showbiz.

Her step into the limelight was through modeling, as she was a finalist in Femina Miss India 2012. The irresistible charm of Sonam paved her way toward the silver screen. She entered into acting in 2013 with a Punjabi venture named Best of Luck, wherein she played the role of Simran.
