Tamannaah Bhatia was born on 21 December 1989 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a Sindhi-Hindu family. As of mid‑2025, she is 35 years old. Her father, Santhosh Bhatia, is a diamond merchant, and her mother, Rajni Bhatia, is a homemaker. She has an elder brother, Anand Bhatia, a practicing doctor in the United States. Tamannaah was educated at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai, and began exploring acting as a teenager through stage performances at Prithvi Theatre around the age of 13.
