The Assamese Film Festival, popularly referred to as Jollywood, is has grown to become a strong cultural and economic force for the state of Assam. Although relatively smaller in projections compared to Bollywood and Tollywood, the Jollywood Cinema has still grown by leaps and bounds and is nationally recognized, having bagged numerous National Film Awards. Central to this success is the plethora of talented and beautiful actresses that have won audiences through their performances.

1. Amrita Gogoi

Amrita Gogoi

She made her film debut in 2015 in Ahetuk, and ever since, Amrita has been keeping the curtains open for Assamese cinema. She was also seen onstage in Hengul Theatre during 2016-17. Popular for hit song videos like Babu Borah and Pedel Mari Mari, she still showers her charms upon her audience.

2. Sunita Kaushik

Sunita Kaushik

A versatile actress, Sunita Kaushik received popularity from serials such as Anuradha and Ki Naam Di Matim. She started her career in acting at Ban Theatre, Tezpur, also appearing in a TV series, Pratipod, aired over Doordarshan. Her first film was with Shaan, singing in Ghazal Isi Ko Pyar Kehte Hai.

3. Aimee Baruah
