Traditional wear meant tradition, and within different regions and the culture-rich traditions of Karnataka, it reflects the diversity brought in. Males wear panche, which is popularly known as dhoti, for their traditional attire. It is an extended piece of fabric, very much cream or white, woven in cotton or silk, to be worn by wrapping it around the waist to the ankle. The draping pattern may vary to a minor extent designs of panche draping in various parts of the state.

Though, the custom of men wearing silk-patterned kurtas has been continued even in celebrations and formal occasions, which have some embroidery or elegant designs. An angavastram is a significant part of the traditional male dress and is draped over the shoulder which gives a boost to bearing really during these events, particularly religious or even in social gatherings. One of the earlier mentioned sarees is the Mysore silk saree, which is the most appreciated silk by Indians because of its touch and rich brilliant shades.

Indeed, Ilkal and Molakalmuru have also become popular thanks to the diversity of textures imagined in weaving and very rich design patterns. Most often, such sarees accompany a similar blouse and drape over the legs worn with a petticoat. Jewelry completes the overall traditional picture. On the contrary, gold jewelry such as bangles, earrings, nose rings, and necklaces primarily serve for functional and ceremonial purposes. All such physical adornments are also adorned in hair that is tipped with hair-covered jasmine flowers.

The by-now old threads from Karnataka still unravel during these religious celebrations of Ugadi, Dasara, and Deepavali, among other grand cultural events, but not only for weddings; instead, this test shows the linkage of the dress with the heritage of the location. In effect, the quintessential wear of Karnataka defined the state culture and regional pride running with time.

The sarees that women adorn are notably classy, while men go in for the panche and kurta, carrying an aura of age-old charm. Hence, these donings are of great importance and placed among festivities, ceremonies, or most mundane life, thus enriching culture in Karnataka.
