Kolkata lies in the spiritual center of varied cultures of India, and it is amid this cultural milieu that Manasi has evolved. She finished schooling at Christ Church Girls’ High School, in 2018. Then she graduated with English Honors from Surendranath College in 2021.
Her parents, Soma Ghosh and Manab Ghosh, have stood by her side all along. She remains unmarried and cherished the memories of her late cousin-brother, who had been a very close companion for her growing years.

Early Interest in Music and the Arts
From the age of 4, Manasi started exploring her artistic sensibility through the fields of music, dance, and painting. But by Class 8, singing was the obvious supreme love. Her mother supported her through the entire process.

To earn early financial independence, Manasi channeled her music skills from the age of 16.-performing at live concerts all over West Bengal. Her varied repertoire ranged from soul-stirring Sufi songs to high-energy Bollywood numbers.

Breakthrough in Reality TV and Career Growth
Her first taste of fame came in 2021, when she earned the runner-up title in Super Singer Season 3, a Bengali-language music competition aired on Star Jalsha. The biggest break in her career came in 2025 when she appeared in Indian Idol Season 15 on Sony Entertainment Television.

On April 6, 2025, Manasi was crowned as the Indian Idol winner and was gifted a brand-new car in addition to ₹25 lakh as prize money.

Post-Victory Success and Future Plans
After winning Indian Idol, Manasi disclosed that she had already recorded her first Bollywood playback recording, a duet with Shaan, from the film Mannu Kya Karega, composed by Lalit Pandit. She also said that she wanted to work with Badshah and perform in films featuring top Bollywood stars, including Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

She likes to keep fit, travel, and spend quality time with her beloved cat, Chiku.
