In the coming months, the cricket world will see the introduction of the up-and-coming Indian talent that the BCCI has put together for the Rising Star Asia Cup 2025. To be held in the dynamic city of Doha, Qatar, this tournament is a key stage for young players to display their talent on the international stage. With a mix of high-powered batsmen, players that do it all, batting and bowling and very reliable bowlers, the “Men in Blue” are set to dominate the field.

Jitesh Sharma to Lead the Charge

In a big call, the selection panel has given the captain’s armband to the dynamic wicket-keeper batsman Jitesh Sharma. Known for his aggressive style of play and sharp cricketing mind, Sharma’s leadership will be key in the growth of this young bunch. Also named as vice captain is the talent who is in the making, Naman Dhir, who has recently been proven by his domestic form. This pair is going to bring a balance of cool-headedness and aggression to the team’s game plan.

Batting Powerhouse: Our batting lineup has some of the best young talent in the country. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Priyansh Arya are to break out at the top of the order. They do so in a stable environment, which also includes the anchor of Nehal Wadhera and the power of Suryansh Shedge. These players have been standing out in the domestic and IPL scenes, which makes them the players to watch out for.

In today’s dynamic cricket, which asks for adaptability, our team does just that. We have included Ramandeep Singh and Ashutosh Sharma in the team, which has improved our performance in both bat and ball. They are able to hit the boundaries in the death overs and also deliver in key rotations, which makes them very important. Also, we have brought in Harsh Dubey, who has added spin bowling variety and also some bat to the table.

The Bowling Attack Our bowling unit is a force to be reckoned with as they look to take advantage of the conditions at the West End International Cricket Stadium. In the pace department, we have Yash Thakur and Vijay Kumar Vyshak, who have proven under pressure. Also in the mix are Gurjapneet Singh and Yudhvir Singh Charak, who should present a constant pace threat. In the spin department, we have the enigma of Suyash Sharma, which is a key weapon in our arsenal. Also, we have quality all-around spin options from the captain.

Captain Jitesh Sharma will be the wicketkeeper, but also in the mix is talented Abhisek Porel for the second wicket-keeping spot, which will give the team great backup and tactical flexibility.
