Early Years & Background

Dharam Singh Deol was born on December 8, 1935, in Sahnewal, Punjab (then British India). He was educated at Government Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana. His humble beginnings fostered an early interest in film, and he was inspired by all the great films from that time. He later followed his passion by becoming an actor.
Film Debut & Career Growth
In 1960, Dharmendra made his movie debut in Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.
